Water City

New slopy routes emerge from existing routes of identified groups of people around the site. Routes are designed as shortest distances from surrounding streets to riverfront. Intersection of the routes and voronoi algorithm define areas belonging to each intersection, i.e. gathering points (such as yards or markets).These sloping routes and defined areas generate new geometry of the site. This geometry allows walking both inside of it, below it and on top of it. Geometry considers insulation, acoustics in open yards, vistas, etc. Housing is located in upper floors, while inside areas are used for services - garages, plazas, sports centers, markets - magnets for certain groups of people. River ‘enters’ the city by groundwater - lakes in yards breathe together with a nearby river - level of water depends on river level.
