Adaptive facade mechanism controlling thermal comfort by creating micro-climate changes – both daily and seasonal. Developed by ‘replicating’ natural complex system – leaf structure. (1) In warm summer days leaves adapt the surroundings of a tree for its existence by creating the shadow - shadow creates air flow caused by air pressure difference; (2) Structure of a leaf adapts to climate to enable its own functioning; (3) Its structural features enable stability. Slightly bent panel surfaces of leaf like perforation enable various air flows depending on their interposition.
Project and techincal drawings are designed using Rhino and Grasshopper definition developed by Ivana Petrusevski in Probanat Office.
